Apprentice School Information Visits – CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE
Apprentice School visits are offered on the second or third Thursday of each month at 11:30 a.m. and are limited to the first 30 registrations. Visits last approximately one hour. Those interested must be U.S. citizens, present photo identification and a birth certificate upon arrival at the school. Those under 18 must be accompanied by a parent. Municipal parking is located 3 blocks to the south of the school at Washington Avenue and 28th Street. Visits comply with Newport News Shipbuilding security requirements regarding attire. No shorts or open-toed shoes are allowed and shirts must have sleeves. No vaping or e-cigarettes are permitted on school or shipyard properties. Cell phones are permitted but no photos, videos or recording is allowed. Liability Waiver Form for Minors must be filled out completely for guests under 18:
